{"id":1040,"date":"2020-03-13T12:57:55","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T12:57:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carolinacat.webpagefxstage.com\/truck\/?p=1040"},"modified":"2022-10-06T21:33:57","modified_gmt":"2022-10-06T21:33:57","slug":"caring-for-the-carolina-cat-community-a-message-from-our-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carolinacat.webpagefxstage.com\/truck\/2020\/03\/13\/caring-for-the-carolina-cat-community-a-message-from-our-ceo\/","title":{"rendered":"Caring for the Carolina Cat Community: A Message from our CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Trusted Partner,<\/p>\n<p>The World Health Organization (WHO) recently declared COVID-19 a global pandemic.\u00a0 We recognize the important role we play in supporting our employees and communities during this difficult and uncertain time.\u00a0 We are committed to the safety, well-being and success of our trusted partners and we wanted to share an update on the preparations we have taken as we continue to monitor this situation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supporting our Employees<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We have implemented employee quarantine policies aligned to CDC guidelines<\/li>\n<li>We have implemented business travel restrictions<\/li>\n<li>We have stepped-up our cleaning protocols in all locations<\/li>\n<li>We are providing employee education regarding preventive measures designed to limit spread<\/li>\n<li>We are providing regular updates to our employees, including regular surveys and FAQs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Supporting our Customers <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We have developed staffing contingency plans to bolster our ability to provide uninterrupted support to our customers if faced with workforce disruptions<\/li>\n<li>We are increasing our inventory of critical items to insulate our customers from any potential supply chain disruptions<\/li>\n<li>We are complying with on-site screening requirements at facilities and jobsites<\/li>\n<li>We will provide regular updates and FAQs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Helping Educate our Communities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We realize there is fear and uncertainty surrounding the spread of COVID-19<\/li>\n<li>Novant Health has provided the following statement that we feel is valuable:\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>You should have peace of mind. <\/em><\/strong><em>Most people who contract COVID-19 will have mild symptoms and will make a full recovery.\u00a0 The majority of infants, children and adolescents with COVID-19, who traditionally are more susceptible to severe respiratory infections, have had more mild cases of the infection and recovered within one to two weeks<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Washing your hands is the best defense.<\/em><\/strong><em> Currently, no vaccine is available to prevent COVID-19 infection. The best way to prevent infection is to avoid exposure to this virus.
